From November 5 to 16, 2025, that glow belongs to the Stockholm International Film Festival—twelve days when the city becomes a world stage for cinema.
The festival celebrates its 35th edition this year, and as always, it’s not just about premieres and red carpets. And the truth is—the festival spirit lasts all year. In June, the big screen moves outdoors at Solvalla Drive-In Cinema, where families roll up in cars or on bikes, tuning in by radio to enjoy films under the summer sky. Then in August, the beloved Sommarbio takes over Rålambshovsparken, filling “Rålis” with blankets, laughter, and the smell of popcorn during five nights of free movies under the stars.
